Care
FAUX LEATHER PVC - Bleach Cleanable Regular Care: Protect from direct sunlight. Keep at a minimum of 30cm away from direct heat source. Routinely vacuum (weekly) using low suction soft brush attachment.
Cleaning: To clean, wipe with a clean colourfast cloth dampened with mild soap and clean water. To remove residual cleaning product, wipe with a clean cloth dampened with water. Do not wet excessively. Dry in shade away from direct heat. A soft bristle brush may be used to remove ingrained soil. Avoid scratching by gentle brushing. Do not use abrasive powder or paste cleaners. Do not clean with hot water extraction or dry cleaning machine. For persistent marks seek professional advice.
Spot Cleaning: Treat spills and stains as soon as possible. Gently scrape any soil or mop any liquid from the surface. Pre-test cleanability on inconspicuous area. Rub the affected area gently using a 50:50 solution of Methylated Spirits and water OR Wipe stain with clean cloth dipped in Isopropyl Alcohol. Rub the area gently and follow with warm soapy water to remove residue. Rinse with clean water to remove any residual detergent and let dry.
Bleach Cleaning / Disinfection: Mix 5% of Household Bleach with 95% water. Pre-test cleanability on inconspicuous area. Gently rub to clean the affected area. Within ten minutes, rinse and wipe with a clean damp cloth to remove residues and repeat to ensure all excess bleach is removed. -Warning: Make sure to wear gloves when handling bleach. Never put pure bleach onto vinyl furniture as this will cause damage. Do not use concentrated detergents, silicon or petroleum-based cleaners.
Please Note: Dye transfer from blue jeans and other items of clothing can stain the surface of light coloured vinyls. Treat all stains promptly as per Spot Cleaning instructions. If dye stain is allowed to penetrate the vinyl, it may be impossible to remove.
