Jardan is an Australian design and manufacturing company creating furniture, lighting and homewares made for life.
Founded in Melbourne in 1987, Jardan has grown from a small upholstery workshop into one of Australia's most significant furniture design and manufacturing businesses. Inspired by Australia's landscape, architecture, culture and relaxed way of life, we create products that are contemporary, enduring and designed to be lived with.
Today, Jardan is led by Managing Director Nick Garnham, Director Michael Garnham and Creative Director Renee Garnham. Together with a team of more than 200 people, they continue to evolve the business while remaining grounded in the principles that have shaped Jardan for almost four decades.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: good design should enrich everyday life and stand the test of time.
The Heart of Jardan
In 2023, we brought our design, product development, manufacturing and support teams together at our 16,000-square-metre headquarters in Scoresby, Melbourne.
Representing the largest investment in Jardan's history, Scoresby is the physical heart of our business and a reflection of our long-term commitment to Australian design and manufacturing.
More than a factory, it is where ideas become products.
Our Melbourne headquarters is home to extensive upholstery and timber manufacturing operations, supported by significant investment in machinery, technology and skilled local craftsmanship. Designers work alongside engineers and makers. Prototypes move from sketch to workshop floor. Materials are tested, construction refined, and many of our furniture collections are crafted by hand.
Bringing our design studios, engineering, product development, upholstery, timber manufacturing, finishing and support teams together under one roof creates a depth of knowledge and collaboration that is increasingly rare within our industry. It also allows us to employ and develop a broad community of Australian designers, engineers, craftspeople and manufacturing specialists, preserving valuable skills while continuing to invest in the future of furniture making in Australia.
Our manufacturing capability remains fundamental to who we are. It informs how we design, develop and evaluate every product in the Jardan collection and continues to shape our pursuit of quality, innovation and longevity.
Our collections are designed and made in Australia, drawing on decades of design and manufacturing knowledge developed at our Melbourne headquarters.
We complement these capabilities with selected materials, components and specialist products sourced from around the world when they offer the quality, technology or performance best suited to a particular design. Brought together through Jardan's own design, manufacturing and product development expertise, they help create collections that remain unmistakably Jardan.
Design
Design is the foundation of Jardan.
Our in-house design and product development teams draw inspiration from architecture, art, fashion, nature and the world around us, translating these influences through a distinctly Australian lens.
We believe the objects we live with every day should be beautiful and functional, but also have character. Pieces that bring warmth and personality to a space, age gracefully and remain relevant for years to come.
Our designers, engineers, product developers and makers work closely together, creating a direct connection between the original idea and the finished product. This allows us to continually test, refine and improve our collections while maintaining the quality, comfort and character that define Jardan.
Supported by extensive manufacturing capabilities at our Melbourne headquarters, every product benefits from the knowledge, experience and standards developed through decades of making furniture in Australia.

Our Spaces
Our showrooms are designed to feel more like homes than traditional retail environments.
Furniture sits alongside lighting, rugs, art and objects, creating spaces that invite people to imagine how Jardan can become part of their own lives.
Each showroom responds to its local architecture, landscape and culture, giving it an individual identity while remaining unmistakably Jardan.
They are places to explore materials, discover ideas and experience our collections as we intend them to be experienced: touched, lived with and enjoyed.
Responsibility
For us, responsibility begins at the design stage.
We believe products should be designed for long lives, made from considered materials and capable of being repaired, renewed and enjoyed for many years.
That philosophy, Made for Life, informs how we design, source materials, manufacture, work with our partners and support our products long after they leave us.
Jardan is a Certified B Corporation, has maintained carbon-neutral operations for more than a decade and operates an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system. Our Scoresby headquarters incorporates a 500kW solar installation and renewable electricity as part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the impact of our operations.
Responsibility extends beyond how a product is initially made.
Through our product stewardship, repair, reupholstery and refinishing programs, we are working towards a more circular approach by extending product life, reducing waste and taking greater responsibility for what we put into the world.
As our manufacturing network evolves, we work closely with Australian and international partners who share our commitment to quality, ethical practices and responsible production.
There will always be more work to do. Our responsibility is to keep questioning, improving and finding better ways to design, make and operate.
Because ultimately, we believe the most responsible products are the ones people value enough to keep.
