Saturday In Design
12.09.24
Last Saturday, we celebrated Saturday in Design at our Sydney showroom. The day began with a design discussion led by Architecture and Design's digital editor, Clemence Carayol. Chris Fox (Chris Fox Studio), Tim Phillips (Tilt Industrial Design), and our Director, Nick Garnham, engaged in a lively conversation about designing with reuse and sustainability in mind.
Our window display brought the Scoresby manufacturing and production experience to life. With a functioning workshop—complete with tool board, sewing machine, patterns, and a workstation—Justin Cass, an experienced upholsterer from our Research and Design team, crafted an armchair and bench, offering guests an intimate viewing of the handcraft process behind every piece. From cutting patterns to sewing covers and weaving leather, visitors glimpsed the detailed steps of our production process.
Guests enjoyed treats from our pop-up bakery, featuring baked goods from our friends at A.P Bakery, before heading to the After Dark lounge. There, they sipped on NON, wine and cheese and charcuterie curated by Fine Grazing, all while experiencing the moody ambiance of our new lighting range. They also had the chance to discover our newly launched side table, Romy, featuring a handblown glass base and an opaque glass top—an exciting addition unveiled at the event.
