Adelaide Design Week | The Interplay Between Form and Function

As part of Adelaide Design Week, we welcomed Adelaide’s design community to our showroom for an evening of conversation, connection and contemporary design.

Moderated by Alice Wilkinson of Studio Nine, the discussion brought together Kim Bridgland of Studio All Days, Dave Bickmore of Studio Gram, Alana Hanton of Design by WBL and Max Cairns of Jardan, to explore the interplay between form and function.

The conversation considered how comfort, versatility, usability and practical requirements shape the design process, and how designers balance these considerations with a strong creative point of view. Bringing together perspectives from across the industry, the discussion offered insight into the thinking behind the spaces and objects we live with every day.

Guests enjoyed bites from The Culinary creative alongside drinks from Mischief Brew and Emmalene Wines, bringing the evening together through good food, thoughtful conversation and shared perspectives.
